Bash at the Track Re-Cap

Saturday, November 7th, was a great day in the life of Liberty Baptist Church. Over 2,500 people flocked to the Orange County Speedway to see Todd Bennick and the Holy Roller at the Bash at the Track! Festivities started at 1:30 with a car show. We expected about 25 cars to be there…52 showed up! What a blessing! Cars from the 30′s and 40′s showed off their elegance, while the muscle cars did burnouts for the crowd. Todd Bennick then wowed the crowd with his trick jumps. From knack-knacks to two-footed can-can’s…we don’t know what they are, but they were awesome!! Todd shared his testimony of how God worked in his life as a young, successful, professional motocross rider. Quenton Day, driver of the Holy Roller monster truck, then shared a brief word with the crowd followed by Pastor Jack Cox giving God’s simple plan of salvation. We know of 14 people that trusted Christ at the track. The Holy Roller then went to work, plowing over 8 cars and getting some air!
What an exciting day for the community! We set out to be a blessing to those in our area. We trust, if you were in attendance, you had a great time of fun. If you were not able to attend, we are planning another Bash at the Track for next year!
God has truly been good to LBC. We started planning for this day months ago, expecting to only bring our inner-city bus routes up to OCS. But God began to open doors. Now the sky’s the limit. Over 130 people trusted Christ between Saturday and Sunday, 14 of them actually at the Bash at the Track. We’ve put together a brief video that shows some highlights from the day. The background music is “God’s Been Good.” That’s how we feel…undeserving, but God’s been good.
