Youth
The youth ministry of LBC is the most exciting part of our church. Our young people are given numerous opportunities to have fun (lots of it) while serving others. We have weekly teen-only services, choir practice, and prayer groups. Our teens get the opportunity to go on several annual trips including teen camp, youth conference, and missions trips. We strive to give our teens every opportunity to make a difference in others’ lives.
Free devotional books are distributed monthly to encourage a personal walk with God. Our young people are taught the Bible with excitement and relevance in each service. We hold a unique balace between fun and faith.
Youth activities keep our teens excited about doing right. We constantly provide opportunites for fun. Activities have included white-water rafting, skiing, Cedar Point, Durham Bulls games, several collegiate sporting events, and Carolina Hurricanes games.
The teen music department has become a focal point. We have a Teen Choir which practices every Wednesday at 3:15 and sings on a regular basis in the main adult services. We also offer four smaller chorale groups that also sing regularly.
