Bus Ministry

Our bus ministry is an vital part of LBC.  For over 55 years, our buses have been running throughout the Triangle area.  Many children, teenagers, and adults have been reached through this great ministry.  The great burden of our bus ministry is the inner-city of Durham.  LBC wants to have a part in helping our city.  Many neglected people live within the boundaries of Durham.  We believe God has sent the LBC bus ministry to help them.  We operate over 15 bus routes that spread throughout Durham, Granville, Orange, and Person counties.  We offer free transportation to every service.

We also offer a Sunday afternoon teenage training program for our bus riders.  Teenagers are encouraged to stay after the Sunday morning service and participate in the various training sessions.  From learning how to tie a tie, to sewing, to basketball, to proper church behavior, to special singing groups, our teenagers from our bus ministry are given principles that they will use for the rest of their lives.  They also get to stay for the Sunday evening service where they hear Pastor Cox’s message.
